The Shop At The Palace:

Open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 10am-5:15pm.
Sunday 11am-5:15pm.

Tour Hours:

Thursday, Friday, 12pm - 4pm
Adults $10 ($2 is donated to Save America's Treasures to restore the roof.)

Youth (6 through18) $7;

Children 5 and under, free.

Broadway Beauties Tickets
Discounted tickets are now available for admission to Galveston’s historic 1892 Bishop’s Palace and the 1895 Moody Mansion. The Broadway Beauties ticket admits one adult to both of these popular attractions for $15. Tickets can be purchased at both Moody Mansion and Bishop’s Palace.

From Basement to Attic: A Behind The Scenes Look at the 1892 Bishop's Palace

As a VIP, you will have the unique opportunity to tour Galveston Island's masterpiece, the imposing 1892 Bishop's Palace literally from bottom to top.  Colonel Walter and Josephine Gresham commissioned Nicholas Clayton, Galveston's premier architect, to design and build what is arguably the finest of the 'Broadway Beauties.' Guests will view areas, not normally open to the public.

Approximate time: 2 hours, beginning at 3:30 p.m. (Limited to 24 per tour)
Bishop's Palace, 1402 Broadway
$30 per person.

Must be able to negotiate stairs. Proper footwear required. No flip flops please, and all sandals must have straps.

Tour dates are March 17, April 21, May 19. Reservations are highly recommended and can be made by calling 409-762-2475.

Private Tours

Immerse yourself in history and support the Galveston Historical Foundation. Private Tours of Bishop’s Palace are designed to provide an in-depth, detailed look at the house, Gresham family history, unique artifacts and more. An expert guide will take you through the house and will tailor the tour based on your interests.

The Shop At The Palace

Visit The Shop At The Palace where you will find many one-of-a-kind kind items. We have the largest selection of Galveston and Texas history books on the island. Also, you will find Galveston Historical Foundation Dickens on the Strand and Historic Homes Tour merchandise. We carry an array of Victorian-themed items, Bishop's Palace souvenirs, Christmas books, magnets, spoons, ornaments and thimbles, locally made candles and jewelry, and a great selection of teas and related items.

The Bishop’s Palace is not yet wheelchair accessible.
