“The third annual Galveston Revival 5K and 10K Race, presented by Mostyn Law Firm, will once again weave through Galveston’s colorful neighborhoods. This year, the race will highlight the East End Historical District, registered as a National Historic Landmark and one of the most architecturally rich neighborhoods on the Island.” says Clay Wade, Director of Events at GHF. “Runners and walkers will enjoy both the unique architecture throughout the route but will also pass by many of the now famous tree sculptures carved from century old trees left dead by Hurricane Ike. Also, participants will see two of Henry Rosenberg’s beloved water fountains left to the citizens of Galveston to provide fresh water “to both man and beast”.”

The Mostyn Law Firm is once again partnering with GHF to sponsor the race. “Galveston Island has been part of my family for as long as I can remember,” says Steve Mostyn, the firm’s founder. “Every summer we vacationed here, creating the best memories of my life. Now, we own a condo here where we bring our kids almost every weekend. I am happy to give back to Galveston by supporting Galveston Historical Foundation and the restoration of Galveston Island."

The law firm, with offices in Houston, Beaumont, Austin and Galveston, specializes in insurance and personal injury claims as well as complex business litigation. All proceeds from the Mostyn Law Firm Galveston Revival Race go towards supporting GHF and its mission of preservation, community redevelopment, stewardship of historic properties and public education.
