Hours and Admissions

Guided Tours every hour:

Hours: Noon to 4 p.m. seven days a week.
Special Spring Break Hours from March 13 through March 21: Monday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday Noon to 4 p.m.

Adults $10 ($2 is donated to Save America's Treasures to restore the roof.)
Students (6 through18) $7;
Children 5 and under, free.
Adult prearranged group tours [20 or more people] $6.50 per person

From Basement to Attic: A Behind The Scenes Look at the 1892 Bishop's Palace

As a VIP, you will have the unique opportunity to tour Galveston Island's masterpiece, the imposing 1892 Bishop's Palace literally from bottom to top.  Colonel Walter and Josephine Gresham commissioned Nicholas Clayton, Galveston's premier architect, to design and build what is arguably the finest of the 'Broadway beauties.' Guests will view areas, not normally open to the public, of this grand structure named the 14th most important Victorian building in America by the American Institute of Architects.

Approximate time: 2 hours, beginning at 4 p.m. (Limited to 24 per tour)

$30 per person.

Must be able to negotiate stairs. Proper footwear required. No flip flops please, and all sandals must have straps.

These tours occur on the third Saturday of every month.  Tour dates are January 16, February 20, March 20, April 17, June 19, May 1 and 8 (part of the Historic Homes Tour), June 19, July 17, August 21, September 18, October 16, November 20, and December 18. Resevations are highly recommended and can be made by calling 409-762-2475.
