Green Revival
As part of the Partners in the Field grant from the National Trust for Historic Preservation, GHF moved a house from 2119 Ave. M ½ to 3101 Ave. Q and is rehabilitating the house to become a model for energy-efficient technology in a historic home.

Goals
-
To preserve or reuse 90-100% of the remnant structural material and 80-90% of the interior finish material

To use 90-100% recycled or salvaged materials for any additions or alterations to the structure

To divert 95-100% of discarded materials and construction waste from landfills
-
LEED Platinum certification
Design Exhibition
As part of the Green Revival project, this summer. The winners were:
- Gabriel Prussmack for Artwork featuring Reused Materials
- Brandon Neil Ragan for Artwork Inspired by Sustainability
- Catherine Stroud for both Lighting Fixtures and Furniture Made from Salvaged Materials
- Kwaku Bediko for Outdoor Furnishings Made from Salvaged Materials
Program
Exhibition and Demonstration
Upon completion, the house will remain open for several weeks as a community exhibit. We will provide demonstrations of appliances and systems, educational materials, and information on possible funding sources.
