Preservation Services

GALVESTON HISTORICAL FOUNDATION [GHF] works to preserve and revitalize the architectural and cultural heritage of the Island for the education and enrichment of all. Through its innovative Preservation and Conservation Services Department [PCS], GHF seeks to preserve thousands of Galveston’s historic buildings. Much of this work occurs through the revitalization and stabilization of older neighborhoods into safe and attractive places in which to invest, live, and retire. GHF staff and volunteers carry out this mission through a variety of programs. All programs are free, except for Demonstration Classes.
