Rehabilitation Incentive Grant Programs

GHF has operated the Rehabilitation Incentive Grant Program for 6 years, with Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds applied for and received from the City of Galveston's Grants and Housing Department. This program assists low-to-moderate income families with up to $5,000 in exterior repairs to their historic houses, such as replacing a roof, or rebuilding a rotten porch. We are currently able to assist 12 to 14 families each year with the available funds.
