34th Annual Galveston Historic Homes Tour
An Exercise in History
The Architecture of Historic Galveston
Join Dwayne Jones, Executive Director of GHF, aboard a deluxe motor coach for a tour of Galveston Island’s most historic neighborhoods. The tour will highlight the works of Nicholas Clayton, Alfred Muller and other major architects with a special focus on the development patterns, major events and environmental issues that shaped the Island’s architecture. Light morning refreshments included.
9:30 a.m. to 12 noon, May 3
$50 per person; includes a ticket to the Galveston Historic Homes Tour. Tickets are non-refundable and seating is limited.
An Exercise in History
On each Sunday of the Galveston Historic Homes Tour, visitors may begin their day with an escorted morning walk through the East End or The Strand National Historic Landmark Districts. Each tour will be led by knowledgeable guides.
10 to 11 a.m., Sundays, May 4 and 11
$5 per person. Tickets are non-refundable.
Both tours will begin at GHF’s headquarters, the 1861 U. S. Custom House, 502 20th Street.
