We recommend purchasing in advance if at all possible. Although tickets will be available the day of, depending on crowd and capacity we might have to limit certain sales at the event. Buying in advance guarantees your admission.

Children aged 4 and up and allowed onboard daysails as long as there is a ticket purchased for them. Aged 3 and under are not allowed onboard for daysails.

Where will all the ships be located? Also, will there be a harbor tour to see them?

Any suggestions for a place on east end where Two Old salts (92 and 89), Navy vets from WWII, who use walkers might view the ships as they leave Galveston for the race to Pensacola.?

      Hi Mary,

We have not confirmed departure times but it is likely to be very early on Monday, if not late Sunday night. We will post as we know more. Depending on departure time, the end of Seawall would be a great vantage point as you will see them exit the harbor and enter the Gulf.

Is this going to be hee again next year? I would really like to be able to plan on the port to port cruise if it will be available next year.

Do we make reservations to tour the ships or is it a walk up type thing?

Your festival admission ticket w/ onboard access allows you to tour the ships. It’s a walk up / queue setup. No reservations are available.

You state the skating is forbidden. Does this prohibition apply to Seawall Blvd or just the piers near the Ships?

Will driving on the beach be allowed? It appears the ships will not sail as far south as west beach, but I’m asking just in case 🙂

The ticket page says that tickets purchased before Apr. 1 are 10% off. I think I was overcharged but can’t get a response from event sponsor. Tickets are listed at $18, so 10% off is 16.20 right?

Can you stand on Seawall Blvd and watch the ships come in for free?
