PastForward, a conference of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, is partnering with GHF to offer a one-day field excursion called, “Preservation Leadership Training: Flood Adaptation Strategies: Options and Impacts (PLT102)” on Wednesday, November 16. The training will be held in historic Galveston, Texas, and run from 8:00AM – 4:00PM. Seating is limited.

Program topics include an overview of climate science and storm surges, an on-site look at the Galveston Seawall and Grade Raising, as well as information of elevation and relocation as flood mitigation strategies to protect historic resources.
