Inspired by Galveston’s rich architectural heritage, Beachtown is a collection of charming coastal villages located on the eastern shore of Galveston Island. Guests to this year’s 41st annual Galveston Historic Homes Tour will have the opportunity to view three Beachtown homes, showcasing different stages of new home construction. Homes are open each day of the tour, the first two weekends in May, free to homes tour ticket holders.

“The new construction project of Beachtown are among the best in the nation,” states Jones. “This development shows a keen interest in the future of the island with a sensitive nod to our architectural history. You can see the inspiration for many of Beachtown’s new houses in our historic East End.”

Opening Day Kick-off Brunch at Porch Cafe



Held Saturday, May 2, from 9-11 am at Beachtown’s Porch Café, 1625 E. Beach, patrons will enjoy a delicious brunch in the café’s charming setting. It’s the perfect way to kick-off your homes tour weekend and also gives you access to view three Beachtown homes in various stages of construction. Brunch is $45 per person.

“The food at the Porch Cafe is like the Island itself. It’s meant to be fun, casual and not overcomplicated,” explains Beachtown founder, Tofigh Shirazi. “Simple, fresh ingredients served in an imaginative and creative way.”

Exclusively offered at this year’s tour, a special online auction is available at for a one-week stay in a most charming 5 bedroom, 4½ bath home in Beachtown. Bidding ends at 11:59 pm on Sunday, May 10th and the winning bidder will be contacted after close of auction for payment.

All proceeds from this auction go directly to Galveston Historical Foundation.
