Built in 1891 by German carpenter Christian L. Wolfer, Galveston Historical Foundation moved this Victorian gable-front cottage in 2010. Ravaged by Hurricane Ike in 2008, GHF’s rehabilitation of the cottage preserved and reused ninety percent of the existing materials and utilized added materials from GHF’s Architectural Salvage Warehouse.
