SPECIAL NOVEMBER 12 PROGRAM
What could be even better than trivia testing your Galveston history knowledge over cold brews and snacks? How about an expert-led lecture and discussion before the game? Author and historian Scot McFarlane will join Texas A&M University at Galveston associate professor of maritime history Blake Thomas for a short lecture focused on the crossroads of the Trinity River and Galveston. Admission is free; snacks and craft beer will be available for purchase, along with copies of McFarlane’s acclaimed book, The River That Made Texas: A Forgotten History of the Trinity. Weather permitting, we’ll be outside on the dock. Join us!
